Tamás attended the Ultrafest8 conference with a poster presentation in which we compared several tongue contour distance measures. While looking for the optimal way of calculating these measures, exciting discussions started with widely-acknowledged scholars of the tongue ultrasound research field – including Douglas Whalen (Haskins Laboratories, New Haven, USA) and James Scobbie (Queen Margaret University, Edinburg, UK).
