Last fall we hosted Maida Percival, a PhD student from the Department of Linguistics / University of Toronto, who investigated earlier the geminates of the Oromo language. In the research that we did together, we applied her ultrasound tongue imaging methods for Hungarian, and from the results Tamás gave a presentation at the UltraFest IX virtual conference:
Ultrasound imaging of Hungarian geminates – Maida Percival, Tamás Gábor Csapó, Márton Bartók, Andrea Deme, Tekla Etelka Gráczi, Alexandra Markó, abstract.
The virtual conference was a real success: besides the presentations in Zoom, there was plenty of time for networking during the coffee breaks and evening social programs, on the gather.town platform.
